This Refund & Paid Upgrades Policy explains the terms that apply when you purchase paid promotional features, listing upgrades, boosts, or other paid marketplace services from BuySellNames, operating as BuySellNames (“BuySellNames,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
By purchasing a paid upgrade, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. What Listing Upgrades Are
BuySellNames may offer optional paid features that increase the visibility or presentation of marketplace listings.
Current upgrade types may include:
- Glowing Shiny Listing — $19
- Stickied Listing — $27
We may introduce, remove, rename, modify, bundle, or reprice upgrades in the future.
The exact price, duration, and features of an upgrade will be shown before purchase.
2. Glowing Shiny Listing
A Glowing Shiny Listing provides enhanced visual presentation intended to help a listing stand out from standard marketplace listings.
The upgrade may include features such as:
- Highlighted styling
- Animated glow
- Animated shine treatment
- Featured badge
- Enhanced visual prominence

The upgrade begins when activated unless otherwise stated at checkout.
3. Stickied Listing
A Stickied Listing receives increased placement priority within designated marketplace areas.
This may include positioning:
- Near the top of homepage listings
- Near the top of relevant marketplace results
- Ahead of ordinary non-promoted listings

Exact placement may vary based on:
- Other promoted listings

A Stickied Listing does not guarantee the absolute first position in every marketplace view.
4. Upgrades Are Advertising, Not Endorsement
Purchasing a paid upgrade does not mean BuySellNames:
- Endorses the seller
- Endorses the listing
- Has verified all listing information
- Has verified revenue or profit
- Has verified ownership
- Has independently valued the asset
- Recommends the asset
- Guarantees the legitimacy of the listing
Paid upgrades are promotional services only.
5. No Performance Guarantee
BuySellNames does not guarantee that an upgrade will result in:
- A specific number of views
- Increased traffic
- Buyer inquiries
- Offers
- Higher offers
- Leads
- Messages
- A successful sale
- A particular sale price
- A specific ranking position
- A particular financial result
Marketplace traffic and buyer activity can vary significantly.
You are purchasing the promotional feature itself, not a guaranteed outcome.
6. Upgrade Duration
Each upgrade will be provided for the duration displayed at the time of purchase.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, upgrade periods are measured from the date and time the upgrade is activated.
When an upgrade expires:
- The listing may return to normal marketplace presentation.
- Promotional badges may be removed.
- Featured styling may stop.
- Stickied placement may end.
Purchasing another upgrade may restart or extend promotional treatment according to the terms shown at checkout.
7. When Payment Becomes Non-Refundable
Unless required otherwise by applicable law, payments for listing upgrades are generally non-refundable once the purchased upgrade has been activated.
An upgrade is considered activated when BuySellNames begins providing the applicable promotional treatment.
A seller's decision to:
- Remove the listing
- Mark the listing as sold
- Archive the listing
- Change their mind
- Stop using the Platform
- Complete a sale early
does not automatically create a right to a prorated refund.
8. Duplicate or Accidental Purchases
If you believe you were charged more than once for the same upgrade due to a technical or payment error, contact us promptly at:

Where we confirm that a duplicate charge occurred unintentionally, we may refund the duplicate payment.
9. Technical Failures
If a paid upgrade cannot be provided because of a technical failure attributable to BuySellNames, we may provide an appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- Restoring lost promotional time
- Extending the upgrade
- Reactivating the upgrade
- Providing marketplace credit
- Issuing a partial refund
- Issuing a full refund
The appropriate remedy may depend on the length and severity of the interruption.
Nothing in this section limits rights available under applicable law.
10. Temporary Platform Outages
Short periods of scheduled maintenance, ordinary technical interruption, third-party service interruption, or temporary marketplace unavailability do not automatically entitle users to refunds.
If a substantial outage materially prevents us from providing a paid upgrade, we may extend the applicable promotional period or provide another reasonable remedy.
11. Listing Removal for Policy Violations
If we remove or suspend a listing because the seller violated:
- Our Terms of Service
- Acceptable Use Policy
- Marketplace rules
- Applicable law
- Intellectual-property rights
- Fraud or misrepresentation rules
the seller is generally not entitled to a refund for unused upgrade time, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
This includes listings removed for materially false or misleading information.
12. Account Suspension or Termination
If a user's account is suspended or terminated for violating our policies, active listing upgrades may also be suspended or terminated.
Unless required by law, unused promotional time will generally not be refunded when enforcement resulted from the user's violation.
13. Listing Sold Before Upgrade Expires
If a listing sells before the promotional period expires, the remaining upgrade period is generally not refundable or transferable unless we expressly provide otherwise.
The fact that the listing sold quickly does not mean the promotional service was unused.
14. Upgrade Transfers
Paid upgrades are associated with the listing for which they were purchased.
Unless we expressly allow otherwise, upgrades:
- Cannot be transferred to another user
- Cannot be transferred to another listing
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
- Cannot be resold
We may make exceptions at our discretion where appropriate.
15. Promotional Credits
We may occasionally provide:
- Promotional credits
- Discount codes
- Complimentary upgrades
- Account credits
- Promotional campaigns
Unless otherwise stated:
- Credits have no cash value.
- Credits cannot be withdrawn.
- Credits may expire.
- Promotional upgrades are not refundable.
Separate promotion-specific terms may apply.
16. Discounts and Promotional Pricing
BuySellNames may offer temporary discounts or promotional pricing.
Purchasing an upgrade before or after a promotion generally does not entitle you to a refund of the price difference.
17. Taxes
Upgrade prices may be subject to applicable taxes.
Taxes may be calculated based on factors such as:
- Billing location
- Applicable tax rules
- Payment provider
- Transaction type
Where required, taxes will be displayed or collected during payment.
18. Payment Processing
Payments may be processed by an independent third-party payment processor.
BuySellNames may receive information such as:
- Transaction status
- Amount
- Currency
- Transaction identifier
- Billing country
- Payment-method type
- Limited payment metadata
We generally do not need to store full payment-card information.
Your payment provider may also have separate terms and refund procedures.
19. Chargebacks
If you believe a payment is incorrect, please contact us before initiating a chargeback where reasonably possible.
Fraudulent, abusive, or knowingly false chargebacks may result in:
- Account restrictions
- Suspension
- Termination
- Removal of active listings
- Recovery of amounts lawfully owed
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising legitimate rights available through your payment provider or applicable law.
20. Currency
Prices will be charged in the currency displayed at checkout.
Your bank or payment provider may apply:
- Currency conversion
- Foreign-exchange fees
- International transaction fees
- Other processing fees
BuySellNames is not responsible for fees independently imposed by your financial institution or payment provider.
21. Price Changes
We may change upgrade pricing at any time.
Price changes apply to future purchases and generally do not retroactively affect an upgrade already purchased.
22. Feature Changes
We may modify the presentation or technical implementation of promotional features over time.
For example, a featured listing design may evolve as the marketplace design changes.
Any replacement feature should continue to provide substantially the promotional service purchased, subject to the description provided at checkout.
23. Marketplace Changes
BuySellNames may change:
- Marketplace layouts
- Listing card designs
- Search systems
- Category structures
- Ranking algorithms
- Homepage presentation
- Promotional locations
A paid upgrade does not guarantee permanent placement within a particular visual layout unless expressly stated at purchase.
