This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs use of BuySellNames and forms part of our Terms of Service.
You must comply with this policy when using the Platform.
1. General Rule
You may use BuySellNames only for lawful, legitimate marketplace purposes.
You may not use the Platform in a manner that:
- Violates law
- Harms another person
- Deceives users
- Creates unreasonable security risk
- Infringes rights
- Manipulates the marketplace
- Interferes with operation of the Platform
2. Fraud and Misrepresentation
You may not:
- Create fraudulent listings
- Fabricate revenue
- Fabricate traffic
- Fabricate users or customers
- Misstate profitability
- Manipulate screenshots
- Falsify business metrics
- Conceal material facts with intent to mislead
- Impersonate another business
- Impersonate another person
- Falsely claim ownership
- Use fake testimonials
- Misrepresent partnerships
- Misrepresent intellectual-property rights
Marketplace information should be materially accurate to the best of your knowledge.
3. Ownership of Listed Assets
You may list an asset only if:
- You own it;
- you control it and have authority to sell it; or
- you are expressly authorized by the owner to advertise it.
You may not list:
- Stolen assets
- Hijacked domains
- Compromised accounts
- Unauthorized software
- Assets obtained through fraud
- Assets you have no right to transfer
4. Intellectual Property
You may not use the Platform to advertise or distribute content that knowingly infringes:
- Copyright
- Trademark rights
- Patent rights
- Trade secrets
- Licensing restrictions
- Other proprietary rights
You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate rights to content included in your listing.
5. Malware and Security Threats
You may not use BuySellNames to distribute or facilitate:
- Malware
- Viruses
- Ransomware
- Credential stealers
- Spyware
- Botnets
- Malicious browser extensions
- Backdoors
- Exploit kits
- Phishing infrastructure
- Unauthorized remote-access tools
You may not knowingly list a website, application, or domain name containing malicious code without clearly authorized and lawful security-testing purposes approved by us.
6. Unauthorized Access
You may not:
- Attempt to access another user's account
- Circumvent authentication
- Circumvent permissions
- Probe the Platform for vulnerabilities without permission
- Exploit vulnerabilities
- Attempt privilege escalation
- Interfere with security systems
- Harvest credentials
- Perform denial-of-service attacks
7. Spam and Unsolicited Messaging
You may not use the Platform for:
- Bulk unsolicited messaging
- Spam
- Repetitive promotional messages
- Automated outreach unrelated to legitimate marketplace activity
- Harvesting seller or buyer contact information for external marketing
Marketplace contact features should be used for legitimate buyer/seller communications.
8. Harassment and Abuse
You may not:
- Threaten users
- Harass users
- Stalk users
- Publish private information about users
- Engage in targeted abuse
- Use hateful or degrading conduct
- Repeatedly contact users who have asked you to stop
9. Illegal Activity
You may not use BuySellNames to facilitate illegal activity.
This includes listings whose primary purpose is to enable unlawful conduct.
We may remove listings we reasonably believe create legal or regulatory risk.
10. Regulated Products and Services
You may not use the Platform to advertise or transfer regulated products, services, businesses, or assets where doing so would violate applicable law or require authorization that the parties do not possess.
We may restrict categories that present heightened legal, financial, security, or regulatory risks.
11. Securities and Investment Offerings
BuySellNames is intended for sales of domain names, not as a securities marketplace.
Do not use the Platform to offer securities, investment contracts, fractional ownership interests, profit-sharing schemes, or regulated financial products unless expressly permitted by us and legally compliant.
12. Customer and Personal Data
You may not publish personal information about customers, employees, subscribers, or other individuals in marketplace listings unless legally permitted and genuinely necessary.
Do not publicly upload:
- Customer databases
- Passwords
- Authentication tokens
- Credit-card information
- Government identification
- Private medical information
- Confidential customer records
- Private API keys
Any transfer of personal information during a transaction must comply with applicable law.
13. Confidential Information
Do not publicly disclose:
- Trade secrets
- Credentials
- Source-code secrets
- Internal security information
- Private contracts
- Confidential client data
- API keys
- Passwords
Sensitive due-diligence materials should be shared through appropriate secure methods.
14. Marketplace Manipulation
You may not manipulate marketplace visibility or reputation through practices such as:
- Fake accounts
- Coordinated artificial engagement
- Fake inquiries
- Fake reviews
- Fake offers
- False scarcity
- Repeated duplicate listings
- Manipulated view counts
- Attempts to bypass ranking rules
15. Circumventing Platform Restrictions
You may not circumvent:
- Account restrictions
- Listing moderation
- Suspension
- Payment requirements
- Marketplace limits
- Technical safeguards
Creating additional accounts to evade enforcement is prohibited.
16. Automated Access
Automated access, scraping, crawling, data extraction, or bulk downloading may be restricted.
You may not use automation that:
- Degrades Platform performance
- Copies substantial marketplace data
- Harvests user information
- Circumvents technical restrictions
- Replicates the Platform's proprietary database
Normal search-engine indexing and specifically authorized integrations may be permitted.
17. Misuse of Buyer or Seller Information
Information obtained through BuySellNames may only be used for legitimate marketplace purposes.
You may not use user information for:
- Spam
- Resale
- Data brokerage
- Unrelated marketing
- Harassment
- Identity theft
- Unauthorized profiling
18. Payment Abuse
You may not:
- Use stolen payment methods
- Initiate fraudulent chargebacks
- Attempt to avoid legitimate Platform fees
- Misrepresent the nature of a payment
- Abuse promotional credits
19. External Transactions
BuySellNames may allow users to negotiate or transact using external services.
Moving a conversation or transaction outside the Platform does not exempt you from applicable provisions of these Terms or this AUP relating to conduct initiated through the Platform.
20. Reporting Violations
If you believe a user or listing violates this policy, contact:

Include, where possible:
- Listing URL
- Username
- Description of the issue
- Supporting evidence
Do not submit false or retaliatory reports.
21. Enforcement
We may respond to violations by:
- Warning the user
- Requesting changes
- Removing content
- Rejecting a listing
- Temporarily restricting functionality
- Suspending an account
- Terminating an account
- Preventing creation of new accounts
- Refunding or cancelling certain Platform services where appropriate
- Preserving evidence
- Reporting conduct to authorities where legally required or appropriate
The enforcement action selected may depend on seriousness, risk, history, and surrounding circumstances.
22. Investigations
We may investigate suspected violations.
Users may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to verify:
- Identity
- Ownership
- Business metrics
- Authority to sell
- Payment legitimacy
Failure to cooperate may result in restrictions or removal.
23. No Obligation to Monitor Everything
BuySellNames may moderate marketplace activity but is not required to review every listing, message, link, transaction, or user.
The presence of prohibited material does not mean BuySellNames endorses or approves it.
24. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.
Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
